Coming from a Windows environment, you simply change folder permission read / write and all is fine.

Since I am not used to Linux, I had trouble with the permission thing. This would be much better than installing the Arduino IDE + dropbox or something similar. I just want to be lazy and connect via remote desktop (tightvncserver), use the arduino web editor and upload all my sketches I'm programming elsewhere. It would be very nice to get this working, the Pi is my mediacenter with a Arduino hooked up to it for IR remote processing and some RF modules for turning on/off power sockets. I tried to just get it running without messing around with the certificates, but that is not working either (I believe it keeps searching for some usb device or something). This did not work and after searching the internet a bit, I think I saw that this method was getting more and more deprecated anyway.įacchinm, could you please give a more detailed guide? I do not really have an idea what I am doing here with the certificates, or why this is necessary anyway.

I have clicked the link and tried to add by using the guide under 'Linux (Ubuntu, Debian)', as there was nothing specific for the Pi. I'm familiar by now with arduino and a whole lot of other programming languages, but not so much with Linux (in general). I'm also trying to get this working on the raspberry pi 3, I am using Raspbian/Debian Jessie as OS.
